Superbowl-commercials.org just posted a nice snippet.

The site lists all the superbowl advertisers, and seems to agree with us: kgb users are a more advanced species of man than the rest of us.

“kgb will have one 30-second spot to air in the third quarter that will focus on their “542542″ text-answer service as a way to get information from their “special agents” instead of searching for it like some kind of neanderthal.”

kgb plays on the big brands’ turf

We’re running an ad during the third quarter of the Super Bowl XLIV game on February 7. We’re putting the finishing touches on several ads, one of which we’ll choose to air during the big game.

One of the ads we’ve produced stars Stephen and William Baldwin.

After only just celebrating our first anniversary, we’re already jumping in and advertising with the big brands during one of the biggest TV events of the year. So we have a lot to be excited about.

We’ve been getting lots of press about running an ad during the super bowl — almost 100 million people will be watching the game, and the ads are talked about for days afterward.

Often, our Special Agents answer questions that are so intriguing that they are inclined to do further research. So here is our Agents choice for question of the day:

Q: What year did I Love Lucy start?
A: The popular TV series “I Love Lucy” starring Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz premiered October 15, 1951.

Did you know the “I Love Lucy” valentine heart opening credits were not the original credits for the show? The original credits featured animated stick figures of the stars along with Phillip Morris cigarettes, the show’s sponsor. The heart came along in 1958.

William Frawley and Vivian Vance were not the first choices for Fred and Ethyl. Desi pushed to bring Frawley on board as he thought he was perfect for the role.

Lucy’s real-life pregnancy was an obstacle for the show. Only the term “expecting” could be uttered on camera as “pregnant” would have reeled in the network censors. In fact, Lucille Ball’s pregnancy brought about the invention of the TV re-run! Lucy was given a rest by showing episodes from the first season during her post pregnancy recuperation.

“I Love Lucy” actually started out as a radio show called “My Favorite Husband.”

Some of the classic moments of the show include Lucy and Ethyl at the chocolate factory, Lucy squashing grapes, and Vitametavegamin.
